Why is GPU important for gaming?

While we overlook the need for GPU while purchasing a console or a smartphone, it should be our top priority while building a gaming PC. The graphics processing unit (GPU) is responsible for displaying crisp and high-quality 3D objects in the games. Today, every computer comes with an integrated GPU, but it is not powerful enough to run AAA games and video editing programs. Without a GPU, you can easily burn out your CPU and battery as your system will not be able to take up a load of high-end graphics of the games. A GPU works rapidly to manipulate the memory of a device to efficiently create images in a frame buffer. While a CPU can do the same with a slower speed and heating issues, a GPU can work like a beast for best performance.
